Romanaized title

Kanpan Ryūkyūkoku shiryaku ichi

解説

和刻本。天保2（1831）年刊行。原典は、乾隆21（1756）年、尚穆王冊封副使として来琉した周煌が乾隆22年に著したもの。同書は皇帝への奏上・総目録・引用文献・首巻で構成。首巻の中には「図絵」の項があり、葛飾北斎の描いた「琉球八景」の元となる「中山八景」を所収。(2015年3月31日更新)

Description

A print made in Japan and published in 1831. The original was written in 1757 by Zhou Huang (Jpn., Shū Kō), who visited Ryukyu in 1756. This volume consists of report to the Emperor, contents, works cited, and introductory volume. The introductory volume includes a section "Drawings," which contains Chūzan Hakkei, the model of Ryukyu Hakkei depicted by Katsushika Hokusai.(Updated on January 22, 2016)
